W vs Gemstones

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 October 2026

This policy explains what information wvsgemstones.com collects, why, and the choices you have.

Who we are

This website is the online gallery of an independent gemstone carving artist. For any privacy question or request, contact us by email — the address is listed in the site footer.

Information you send us

When you send an inquiry, you provide your name, email address, an optional country and message, and optionally the piece you are asking about. We use this information only to read and reply to your inquiry. We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not send unsolicited marketing emails.

Analytics and cookies

With your consent (via the cookie banner), this site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use it: which pages are viewed, where visits come from, and events such as submitting an inquiry. Google Analytics uses cookies for this; if you decline, no analytics cookies are set.

With your consent we also use Microsoft Clarity, which records anonymised session replays and heatmaps so we can spot where the site is hard to use. Clarity does not use cookies, and all text you type (names, emails, messages) is masked in recordings.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser; the banner will appear again on your next visit.

Anti-spam and security

To keep the inquiry form usable, we record technical signals — your IP address, browser type, and how the form was filled in — and apply rate limits. This is the minimum needed to block automated spam (legitimate interest).

Legal bases (GDPR)

We process analytics data on the basis of your consent; anti-spam and security signals on the basis of legitimate interest; and inquiry data in order to respond to your request.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your personal data, to object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise any right, email us — see the footer.

Service providers

Only the providers needed to run this site process data on our behalf: our hosting provider, Google (Google Analytics 4) and Microsoft (Clarity). We do not sell personal data to anyone.

Data retention

Inquiries are kept while your request is being handled and then only as long as needed for our records. Analytics data follows the providers’ defaults (Google Analytics: events up to 14 months; Clarity: recordings about 30 days).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves. The date above the title always reflects the current version.
